It’s the first week of the month. Here’s what’s happening in the San Francisco Bay Area this weekend:
First Thursdays are happening in San Francisco tonight, October 2nd. This month the event is competing with the VP debates so you might not have to fight the crowds and actually get to see some of the work on display.
First Fridays are happening in Oakland tomorrow night October 3rd.
The opening of the 22nd Annual Emeryville Exhibition is happening in Emeryville tomorrow night, Friday, October 3rd. The exhibition is sponsored by Emeryville Celebration of the Arts, Inc., and features the works of artists and craftspeople, both established and emerging, who live or work in Emeryville. The exhibition will take place October 4 through October 26, 2008, at 5815 Shellmound Way, Emeryville, California. The gala public reception with the artists in attendance will be from 6 pm to 9 pm. A no-host bar will raise funds for the Emeryville Youth Art Program. Music will be provided by the David Berson Bay Moods Quartet.
